Type of Position: Internship (multiple positions available) Commitment: May 2012 – August/September 2012 Compensation: Unpaid, with the opportunity to earn college credit Direct Supervisor: Jordan Cascino, Director of Group Sales
The New Jersey Jackals are seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Game Day & Promotions Intern. This internship will primarily expose students to game day promotions, sales, and customer service, but will cover all facets of a professional baseball team's front office. Additional opportunities to work and learn on non-game days are provided, and in some cases required, at the discretion of the the Jackals staff. Interns will also have the opportunity to learn from highly-regarded industry professionals at a number of Jackals-sponsored guest speaker events.
Responsibilities: - Produce game day script and map out between-inning promotions - Coordinate and supervise all on-field contests and promotions - Organize pre-game events (including baseball buddies, first pitch, award ceremonies, etc.) - Provide exceptional service at the Fan Services Booth - Generate game day revenue through Launch-A-Ball, program, merchandise and Kid Zone sales - Assist with field preparation and general stadium upkeep - Attend Jackals-hosted seminars and guest speaker events with highly-regarded industry professionals - Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications: - Sports Management, Marketing, Public Relations, and Communications majors preferred, but candidates with other concentrations considered - Must be enthusiastic and able to keep up in a fast-paced environment - Must be customer service oriented - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Positive, outgoing attitude and willingness to learn required - Must be able to lift 10 – 40 lbs and stand for long periods of time - Must be available to work all 2012 Jackals home games, including nights and weekends

The New Jersey Jackals are seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Marketing & Community Relations Intern. This internship will expose students to marketing, social media management, and community outreach initiatives during the 2012 season. The intern will also have the opportunity to learn from highly-regarded industry professionals at a number of Jackals-sponsored guest speaker events.
Responsibilities: - Compose weekly Jackals e-newsletter - Monitor and update Jackals' website and social media outlets (Facebook and Twitter) - Assist in the production of creative content for website and social media - Assist in the creation and distribution of marketing collateral (informational flyers, mass mailers, brochures, etc.) - Assist Ticket Operations Department in fulfilling Hit The Books orders - Assist in the fulfillment of donation requests - Maintain customer databases to support ticket sales - Set up and staff tables and relevant exhibits at community and business-to-business events - Escort mascot at school and community functions (serve as mascot as needed) - Support staff in day-to-day operations (including filing, copying, etc) - Attend staff meetings when possible - Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications: - Sports Management, Marketing, Public Relations, and Communications majors preferred, but candidates with other concentrations considered - General knowledge of professional baseball required - Candidate must be well organized, focused, and have a strong attention to detail - Proficiency in Microsoft Office required - Knowledge of social media (beyond personal use) a plus - Experience with basic HTML, Photoshop, and/or video editing a plus - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Positive, outgoing attitude and willingness to learn required! - Must be available to work all 2012 Jackals home games, including nights and weekends

Responsibilities: · Assist Ticket Operations Manager with everyday responsibilities on both game and non-game days · Learn all aspects of ticketing: season & mini plan holders, groups and individuals (seating, payments, billing), ticketing software, as well as the customer database · Process phone, internet, as well as walk-up ticket orders · Develop spreadsheets and databases for daily specials such as Living Social and GroupOn · Assist with order of group and party supplies · Assist ticket office staff · Attend community events along with mascot and players, as needed · Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications: · Sports Management, Business, and Communication majors preferred · Hardworking and focused · Must be able to work both game day and non game days · Customer service experience a plus · Must be well organized · Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word · Must be available to work all 2012 Jackals home games,including nights and weekends
