The New Jersey Jackals are set to begin their 13th season on Thursday night at 7:05 p.m. when they travel to Augusta, NJ to take on the Sussex Skyhawks in the first contest of a four-game series. This year, there are several exciting new ways to follow the team during its quest to bring a fifth championship to Little Falls.

The Jackals will once again partner with All In Broadcasting to offer fans a free live audio webcast of each contest in 2010. For home games at Yogi Berra Stadium, an in-stadium radio broadcast will also be available at 88.1 FM. Broadcasts begin 10 minutes prior to first pitch with Jackals Pregame. Cody Chrusciel returns to the Jackals for his third season handling play-by-play duties. For the first time, fans will be able to select from four different media players to stream the broadcast. The broadcast can be accessed by selecting “listen live” under the “fan fare” tab on the Jackals’ website or by visiting allinbroadcasting.com.

New this season, Jackals Journal will offer fans an inside look at the New Jersey Jackals and the Can-Am League. Updated regularly throughout the season, blog visitors can get a first glance at starting lineups, download game notes, view photos, and remain up-to-date on everything Jackals. Jackals Journal is available at http://newjerseyjackals.wordpress.com, or by clicking on the link on the left side of the jackals.com home page.

Another improvement for 2010 is the addition of an advanced live scoreboard on the Can-Am League’s revamped official website,
canamleague.com. Through the league’s recent partnership with Pointstreak, fans can access Game Live, a real-time flash application that streams play-by-play baseball results over a 3-D graphical image of a baseball field.

Additionally, the Jackals are on Facebook (facebook.com/jackalsbaseball) and Twitter (twitter.com/jackalsbaseball).

The New Jersey Jackals, proud members of the Canadian-American Association of Professional Baseball, play their home games at Yogi Berra Stadium located on the campus of Montclair State University in Little Falls, NJ. 2010 season tickets, mini-plans and group outings are available by calling 973-746-7434.
